Man beheads dog with chainsaw, haunted asylum – Rynski radio – UPDATE with playlist and download

When a kitchen knife didn’t work, one man pulled out a chainsaw to kill a dog – in front of his kids.

Hopefully this is similar to the dog killer's eventual surroundings/Art from Solar Culture, photo Ryn Gargulinski

That story and more are up this week on Rynski’s Shattered Reality radio show on and FM 94.9 in Hudson Valley, N.Y.

Next show is Wednesday, Sept. 29 (today!) and every Wednesday online at Showtime is noon in Arizona, 3 p.m. EST.

Party 934 is a radio alternative for listeners sick of stations that play one song followed by 500 commercials.

Colors are this week’s musical theme and we have a kaleidoscopic collection of suggested songs along with our weekly polka fix.

Thanks, as always, to those who contributed suggestions.

Requests for future shows welcome; please leave them below.

First of all, I’m really sick about the guy and the dog. I’m gonna do my best to listen in today. Last couple weeks I was either out of town or running around somewhere.

For next week, does the song ‘Get Back’ by The Beatles work? I like it cuz they mention Tucson, Arizona.

    • Rynski says:

      hey azmouse,
yes – the guy and the dog thoroughly disgusted and angered me. i can’t believe how twisted some people can be.
thanks for bid to listen in – promise the dog story is very short – and some non-sick stories are also included.
yes! the beatles ‘get back’ def. counts – tucson, arizona! love it. will put it on play list for sure – thanks.

      • azmouse says:

        Awesome on The Beatles song.

I want to make sure I listen because of the dog story. I follow so many animal abuse cases online and I hadn’t heard about that one. I’m all for more severe punishment for people who hurt animals and I’m usually dismayed by the lack of punishment they seem to get. Many of us value our pets like family members and a fine with a slap on the wrist just doesn’t cut it.

Thanks for bringing so many important stories to light!

      • Rynski says:

aw, thanks for your continued readership and cool song suggestions!
just a quick peek, the extreme animal cruelty charge the guy is facing has a joke of a maximum penalty, as well. i agree folks who abuse animals should DEF be more severely punished.

  2. Scout's Mom says:

Rolling Stones: Route 66 (too many to list!), Rip This Joint (Tampa, Memphis, Buffalo, D.C., San Jose, Sante Fe, New Orleans, Dallas, Birmingham, Little Rock), Street Fighting Man (London), Shattered (Manhattan, The Big Apple), Far Away Eyes (Bakersfield, Los Angeles), Harlem Shuffle, Honky Tonk Women (Memphis, New York City), Jivin’ Sister Fanny (Philadelphia), Memory Motel (Boston, Baton Rouge), Miss You (Central Park)

    • Rynski says:

      hahahha! love it, scout’s mom!
will cull out my fave from the bunch – but i’ll give you a hint which one definitely makes the list:
‘rats on the west side, bedbugs uptown….’
thanks, No. 1 Stones fan in the world!

  3. Alan in Kent WA says:

Caught the show.  Once again, they walk among us.

    • Rynski says:

thanks for listening in, alan! and yes, i was going to mention the dog beheader in the previous comment about shuddering…yuck!
at least the cat dyed hot pink added some levity…

  4. radmax says:

Nice show media maven. I especially liked the Last Poets selection, an often overlooked group of deep thinkers…
Favorite locales…hmmmmm…any tunes come to mind about Kingman?… 😉

    • Rynski says:

      hey radmax –
thanks for listening – and compliments – once again!
the lost poets, i agree, our definitely geniuses who don’t get the credit, or airplay, they so fully and richly deserve – hahahhahahha.

  5. koreyk says:

    “Shallow Grave” by the A-Bones

Not only does this rocking little ditty mention Tucson numerous times, but its subject matter is true crime at its finest, specifically our most infamous murderer, the “Pied Piper of Tucson”, Charles Schmid.

As an aside, the A-bones keyboardist is Ira Kaplan, master guitar mangler for Yo La Tengo.

If you can’t find this, email me and I’ll point you in the right direction.

    • Rynski says:

ooooh, this is an ideal selection, for sure – meets all request criteria, has awesome band and song name, includes true crime AND is local.
      DEF. a must-play!
i’ll check for it in my secret stash of music – and will e-mail if cannot find it. based on what you’re telling me, i may need to find a whole a-bones album.
      thanks! koreyk!

    • Rynski says:

found it – got it – “one foot sticking from a shallow grave in tucson….”
