In addition to the fun stuff mentioned above, this week’s musical line-up includes an eclectic mix of music, including at least one tune from Tucsonan Eric Heithaus’s Ancient Astronauts. Requests for future shows welcome, please leave them below.

Rynski’s Shattered Reality is on every Wednesday at noon in Arizona, 3 p.m. EST.

  1. Bill Hilser says:

Hey Rynski: I’ll be listening from the Greater Metroplex of East Jesus, Arkansas @ 2 pm our time, and would be much obliged if you would kindly play  the Song that turned me 180* around and made me a big fan of Outlaw C & W Music.
It’s a song written by Chicago’s own late and great Steve Goodman, and performed by David Allan Coe, called “You don’t have to call me darlin’,darlin’, or ‘The Perfect Country and  Western Song.’
It’ll even bring a tear to lefty’s eye.
    Yer hillbilly pal, Ferrari Bubba

  2. andrew says:

Anything by Jerry Riopelle, A local guy from Cave Creek, all of his songs are good from the “Take a Chance” album, you would like him. Thanx

  3. Rynski says:

@ Bill Hilser aka Ferrari Bubba – aww, i’d be honored to make listeners weep! you got it.
i’ll do my best to find your request and play it for ya next show – won’t be able to to get it by today, but it’ll be up on july 14 (i’m on vacay next week).
thanks! in advance for tuning me in at 2 p.m. arkansas time!

  4. Rynski says:

    @ andrew –

  5. radmax says:

Cool show Rynski! All the tunes were rockin’! …’cept ‘Plasticine’…what the heck was that? 🙂
Gonna miss your blogs and radio spot while you vacation…where ya headin’?
Hope it is somewhere fun. Hey, I hear Cleveland is nice this time of year, isn’t the world’s biggest trash ball located there? 😉
No really, have a great time, we’ll miss ya!

    • Rynski says:

      hey radmax – thanks!!
glad you liked the tunes – plasticine, i’ll admit, was getting on my nerves – which is why i kinda cut it short….
thanks for missing note – i shall leave my destination a secret as i am either a) going somewhere really cool, like paris, and want to surprise everyone with stellar photos upon my return or b) staying home in tucson and doing absolutely nothing, in which case i will say all my stellar pix of paris were ruined in customs  – hahhahah.
biggest trash ball does sound fun! although i don’t think it’s in cleveland…

If I may butt in like an obnoxious know-it-all:

The correct name of the song  FB Bill is requesting is “You Never Even Call Me by my Name”.  Goodman co-wrote it with John Prine, though Prine refused songwriting credit.  Goodman bought Prine a jukebox in appreciation for the royalties that came in from David Allen Coe’s version.

Jerry Riopelle’s career never really took off on a national basis, but for some reason he was wildly popular in Arizona, and was one of the most played artists during the 70’s on KWFM in Tucson, and KDKB in Phoenix.  Ironically, he never lived in Arizona during the height of his fame, having moved here in the late 90’s.  Still, he has widely been viewed as an Arizona musician, and was inducted into the Arizona Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame.  The co-writer on many of his songs was Stuart Margolin, who played Angel on “The Rockford Files”.
